A Kiwi woman has taken to social media for help to find the father of her 13-year-old daughter after the young girl revealed she wanted to met her dad.
Kerryn Leigh, who did not want to reveal her last name, met an Australian named Rodney while living in Queenstown 13years and 9 months ago.
She met the mystery man while he was on a three-day snowboarding trip with two friends.
The jewellery designer, who is originally from Christchurch but now based in Perth, gave birth to their daughter without his knowledge nine months later.
The 52-year-old is now on a mission to find him so her daughter, who is about to turn 13, can meet her father.
"I was (almost) 40 years old with a baby in my arms with a man I didn't know," she told Fairfax media. "I was coping with what I had. I would have let him know. He deserved to know."
She described Rodney as a surfer living on the Gold Coast with long scruffy hair, blue eyes and is believed to be in his late 40s now.
Since creating the post on Facebook, Kerryn Leigh has been contacted by several women with possible leads but no men had come forward, Fairfax reported.
