Two contingents of Defence Force personnel have set off from Ohakea this morning for missions in Timor-Leste and the Solomon Islands.
Forty-four personnel, most of them territorials, will take over duties in the Solomons.
Another 32 air crew and support staff will replace personnel currently operating
defence force helicopters deployed in Timor-Leste.
They were seen off by Defence Force chief Lieutenant-General Jerry Mateparae, Labour MP Russell Fairbrother, and families and friends.
