Mike King and Marilyn O'Neale combined to win the Cusack Trophy 2-4-2 pairs indoor bowls tournament.
Twenty-two teams took part and after five rounds of matches the two unbeaten teams were King and O'Neale and Elva Simonsen and Robbie Duncan. They played off for the trophy over three ends.
Oddfellows clubheld their championship fours and the successful combination was Colin Hodder, Mike Taylor, Dylan Taylor and Delia Taylor. They beat Steven Johnston, Bruce Howie, Murray Hume and Marie Harford in the decider.
South Wairarapa Workingmen's Club had 20 entries for their championship pairs. Peter Diamond and June Gain accounted for Val Willis and Ginny Smith in the final.
Central club completed their singles championships over two nights. There were 24 entries and eight qualifiers. The semifinals saw Kelvin Simonsen beat Marilyn O'Neale and Stu Field defeat Elva Simonsen, and the final resulted in a win to Kelvin Simonsen over Stu Field.
