About 225 kids have so far taken part in the Masterton Safe and Healthy Community Council holiday programme, which has included making trolleys and a scooter workshop.
The children designed and built their own trolleys in teams of four this week, and took part in a derby around Henley Lakethat involved activities at various stages.
Those included catching a plastic fish with a net and eating an ice block.
They also held a time trial after the course had been completed.
The programme was made up of sports in the mornings and then a reading programme.
Manager Sandy Ryan said it was a great opportunity for the children to continue using their literacy and numeracy skills by designing and building their own trolleys. "They've been superb," she said.
Members of Henley Men's Shed have jumped on board to help, teaching the kids how to safely use electric drills and jigsaws.
