KEY POINTS:
Warriors hooker/halfback Nathan Fien won't quite be one of the dads who gets a new baby for Fathers's Day - his third child is due at the end of next month.
But the father of Brodey, 3, and Cleo, 2, is looking forward to cards from his children when he arrives back from Australia late today.
Statistics New Zealand says an estimated 160 dads will get a new bundle of joy today, and two of them can expect to be the fathers of twins.
Fien says the children will probably be in bed when he gets home from last night's final National Rugby League round-robin clash between the Warriors and the Panthers in Penrith, so Father's Day will be low key.
Fien, 28, is looking forward to the artwork his preschoolers will have no doubt made for him. "It means a lot ... they're the most special people in the world to me, and watching them grow up every day is just great."
The professional league player says he is lucky in that his job allows him to spend time during the day with his children, and he is a very "hands on" dad.
He says the family are all "pretty excited" about the impending new arrival, another little boy.
