A child has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in the Auckland suburb of Panmure.
Police were called to the scene, outside Youthtown on the corner of Tripoli Rd and Tangaroa St, about 12.10pm, a spokeswoman said.
The child was conscious and breathing when officers arrived.

John ambulance said the child was taken to Starship Hospital in a serious condition.
Police were speaking to witnesses, the spokeswoman said.
