Kerikeri roof-rider suffers serious injury in fall from car

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after falling from the roof of a car, then being run over.

Police say the man was riding on the roof of a white station wagon in Gold View Rd, Kerikeri on June 4, at 7.15pm when he fell.

He landed on the road head-first. The white car ran over him and left the scene before police arrived.

He sustained serious injuries and remains in Auckland Hospital in a stable condition.

Kerikeri officers are now seeking to identify the vehicle and have posted on Facebook calling for sighting or suggestions of who may own the vehicle.
