Keisha plans to ride into Tinseltown

Keisha Castle-Hughes and fiance DJ Jonathan Morrison plan to settle in America after their summer wedding.

Morrison said the timing of the move depended on the availability of work.

"We definitely want to leave this year," Morrison said. "Hopefully by the middle of the year we'll be gone. If we do go over we're probably going to move there permanently."

Getting visas is expected to be easy as Morrison's mother is a US citizen.

Morrison said being close to Hollywood made sense for furthering his fiancee's career. "I think it's better because you don't have to send the audition tapes halfway across the world."

Morrison said he hoped to write a screenplay and also look for work.

The couple's wedding plans were mostly set, with rumours they will tie the knot at exclusive Puketutu Island on the Manukau Harbour.

A confidentiality deal has been signed with a women's magazine, but Morrison confirmed they would marry this summer. "We're looking forward to it."

Castle-Hughes' next feature film, Amos' Wake, is in post-production this week, and Morrison said producers hoped to screen it at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Another Castle-Hughes project, a two-hour action-thriller pilot Rewind, is also in post-production.

And Castle-Hughes features in the new series of Almighty Johnsons which is believed to have begun shooting this week.
