Kapiti Coast fire victim named

Police today released the name of a woman killed in a house fire on the Kapiti Coast, north of Wellington, on Wednesday night.

She was 34-year-old Nicole Maconaghie, of Paraparaumu.

Detective Sergeant James McKay said dental records were used to identify Ms Maconaghie.

The fire was not being treated as suspicious and Ms Maconaghie's death had been referred to the coroner.
