She told The Informant that she renewed her licence in early September.
Her career spans back to 1991 when she started as an apprentice with Pukekohe trainer Richard Collett. Over 15 years she rode 578 winning horses in New Zealand as well as many on the Malaysia, Singapore, Macau and South African circuit.
In 2006 she suffered a broken leg after falling from a horse at her husband's stables. Complications with her leg resulted in the end of her career.
"I hadn't stopped enjoying my riding but when the leg took so long to heal, the rehab process led to me becoming a personal fitness trainer," Tiley told The Informant.
"I enjoyed that too for a number of years but as things have got busier at the stable that's what been taking up more and more of my time."
Earlier today races across New Zealand were delayed because the totalisator crashed.
The betting systems crash meant races were delayed, including the $150,000 Zabeel Classic at the Auckland Racing Club's meeting at Ellerslie, which was scheduled to run at 5.30pm.
The race will now take place at 6.10pm.
The outage affected the placement of bets at race meetings throughout New Zealand.
Frustrated punters took to the TAB Facebook page to vent their anger.
"Why do we always have problems with the TAB site on holidays?" one woman said.
"What's up with online betting today?" asked another punter.
