More would be announced in coming weeks, a Silo Theatre spokeswoman said.
The famous play has been adapted for a New Zealand setting. A six-piece band replaces the orchestra and Auckland's CBD replaces the forest as the play's setting.
Puppetry by the team behind the Fringe show Puppet Fiction and live videography will also feature in the performance.
The original symphonic fairytale by Sergei Prokofiev has been adapted by Silo's artistic director Sophie Roberts and composer Leon Radojkovic.
"The story is set today and begins with Peter moving from Russia to Westmere to live with his grandfather where he struggles to fit in and make new friends," Roberts said.
"When a wolf escapes from the zoo, Peter sees an opportunity to become a hero and joins forces with a motley crew of animals. Their adventure to capture the wolf takes them across Auckland City at night."
The show is recommended for those aged 7 years and up. Tickets can be booked at Ticketmaster.
