At the time the songstress branded the thief "an asshole" and called on the public to help identify him.
But today the family has had some good news after some of the stolen items were dropped off at a local church.
"Best news! 3 of 4 items stolen were just dropped at a church. Many thanks to all who RT-ed! Hoping for the 4th, but we're thrilled anyway!
She said the only outstanding item was a mirror with a distinctive Maori carving frame.
Ms Marvelly told the Herald with recent developments the family were now hopeful it too might surface.
"We are holding out hope we might find it. Fingers crossed!" she said.
