Tony award-winning actor George Grizzard, who appeared in the original 1962 Broadway production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, has died in New York at the age of 79.
Grizzard won a best actor Tony in 1996 for his role in a revival of Albee's ADelicate Balance. He also had roles in movies, including Woody Allen's Small Time Crooks, and regularly appeared on television in series such as Law and Order as defence lawyer Arthur Gold.
