Netball Central Zone, which includes Wairarapa, have appointed project director Libby Carson to the role of interim chief executive as the search gets under way for a permanent replacement for Chris Hooper, who resigned as CEO last week for personal reasons.
Ian Collier, chairman of Netball Central Zone, said
this appointment would ensure continuity for the new organisation at a crucial stage.
"Chris will work with Libby until his departure next month and the pair will continue to build on the excellent work already undertaken in establishing the new zone, ensuring a smooth transition until a new CEO is appointed," Collier said.
"The focus will be on building our existing relationships with key stakeholders."
