Roadworks
* The Te Atatu offramp eastbound from the Northwestern Motorway will be partly closed today from 9.30am to 3.30pm for guardrail inspection.
* If you plan to visit One Tree Hill Domain soon, be aware that some roads may be closed for repairs. The closures will be from
7am to 5pm on weekdays only, and the work should be finished early next month.
Farm figures
Statistics New Zealand is about to embark on its first agricultural production census in eight years. Information to be collected includes details of land use, the number of animals farmed, the area in crops and the type of crops, forestry plantings and land leases. Mailing of census forms begins next week, and the results are planned for release in February. For more information email ag@stats.govt.nz or phone 0800 333 104.
Civic grants
The North Shore City Council wants applications from community groups and organisations within the city for its community support grants programme. Forms are available from any of the city council offices, and applications close on July 5.
Navy Band
The Royal New Zealand Navy Band presents maritime melodies in the National Maritime Museum at 7 tonight. Admission is by programme purchase. Call 373-0807 for more information.
Tree planting
Pupils at Mayfield School in Otara could use some help today to plant trees by the Springs Rd stream. Meet at the school carpark in Pearl Baker Ave for sessions at 11.30am or 1.30pm.
Organ music
Organist Indra Hughes plays music to lunch by today in a free concert at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Khyber Pass Rd at 1.10pm.
