One of George Speight's hostages, Jioji Uluinakauvadra, is led back to a Red Cross van by police after having an X-ray at a clinic in Suva. Uluinakauvadra, the former minister for Home Affairs, was released from the Parliament compound for twenty minutes to allow him to have an X-ray. Meanwhile, the military has said it will restore Fiji's multiracial constitution which it revoked after the declaration of martial law.
