Ice warning for Taranaki motorists

Motorists in the Taranaki region are being warned of ice on the roads after several crashes before 7.30am.

Police team leader Stacey Robinson said drivers should take "extreme care".

She said the minor crashes occurred on State Highway Three between Midhurst and Hawera.

Ms Robinson said ice had also been reported on State Highway 45 near the Oakura Bridge.
