Save Three hunters have been rescued from the freezing Manawatu River, after their aluminium boat sank in an area littered with submerged logs.
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter winched them to safety this morning.
They were stranded in the middle of the Manawatu River between Ashhurst Bridge and Massey Bridge near
Palmerston North.
All three have been taken to Palmerston North Hospital for observation.
