Save A helicopter rescue mission for a tourist reportedly lost in the Waitemata Harbour ended when the missing person was found safe in a hotel last week.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter searchers were called out after reports a tourist had gone missing from a ferry at 8:37pm on April 5.
Their mission
was called off after the tourist was found in a hotel room.
Other call outs over the past week included a mission to save an elderly man who was trapped for 11 hours after falling down a bank.
A chopper was dispatched to the Coromandel Peninsula at 6:10pm on April 8 to treat the injured man.
