Police have released a sketch of a man being sought after a woman was attacked in her central Auckland home earlier this month.
The woman was left with life-threatening injuries when she was assaulted after confronting an intruder in her Eden Terrace home just before midnight on December 2.
Policetoday released a computer sketch image of the man, based on the woman's recollections of her attacker.
Although the woman suffered life-threatening injuries, she was now recovering well, police said.
Police described the man as being of dark-skinned Maori appearance, 28 to 35 years old, 1.7m tall, thin, wiry build, no facial hair and dark hair that was long at the back.
