Levin police are looking for a car with a smashed headlight after a hit and run yesterday.
The car was travelling east along Roosevelt St when it swerved to avoid hitting a parked truck and collided with an oncoming vehicle about 5.50pm, police said.
The light-coloured older model saloon wasdamaged on the right-hand side, including a smashed headlight, but did not stop.
The occupants of the other car, which sustained "considerable damage", were shaken but uninjured.
Anyone with information about the collision should contact Levin police.
