Humid summer weather on the way

A dry spring is turning into a humid summer.

WeatherWatch.co.nz reports a wet and rainy La Nina weather pattern for December.

Head weather analyst Philip Duncan says just like last year, there's been a big jump in rain and humidity for dry parts of the country.

He says it'll be muggy over the next few weeks, especially for northern regions.

Mr Duncan says high winds tracking across the country are opening up the gates to the sub-tropics.
