House torched and four injured in Waikanae incident

Wellington police are investigating an incident in Waikanae yesterday in which a house was set on fire and four people injured.

The fire started at the Elizabeth St house at 9.00am in the town 65km northeast of Wellington, Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam said today.

He refused to give any more details until a press conference later today.
