Hot car fatal for family pet in Whangarei

The death of a pet left in a Whangarei car has prompted a reminder from the SPCA that negligent owners could be jailed.

The dog was one of two left in the car in humid temperatures. The SPCA says animals can die in only 10 minutes in sweltering conditions.
