The new Hospice Tairāwhiti charity shop on the corner of Gladstone Rd and Peel St will open its doors this Saturday.
It has moved from its previous premises further along Peel St towards Childers Rd.
Shop staff and volunteers have been busy this week moving thousands of sale items intothe new premises and stacking the shelves.
Manager Brenda Kinder said the move had gone well.
“We aimed for this Saturday and we will be up and running that day from 10am till 2pm.

“It’s amazing in here, better than I ever imagined it would be.”
The signwriting on the outside of the new store goes up tomorrow.
“We cannot wait to get our customers through the doors,” she said. “Everyone has been asking about it and Saturday is the day.”
