Plunket is using the grant money to revamp its existing facilities and the Wairarapa Hospice is upgrading its roof.
Funding of $50,000 from the Eastern and Central Community Trust is being shared this month by Masterton's Plunket Society and Hospice Wairarapa.
Plunket will use its share of the money, $30,000, to redevelop its existing centre which will allow it to centralise operations including car seat hire, parent education andsupport programmes and clinics.
Wairarapa Hospice is fundraising to pay for a new roof on its 88-year-old Renall St building, which was purchased five years ago.
The $20,000 covers almost half the cost of re-roofing the converted house which is used for non-medical services and provides respite day care.
