Homicide inquiry at Porirua beach

Porirua police have launched a homicide inquiry after a woman died at Titahi Bay beach late this morning.
The woman was believed to have been stabbed, Kapiti Mana area commander Inspector John Spence said in a statement.
Police were seeking witnesses to the attack which happened about 11am at the
northern end of the beach.
The woman was found in a parked car, Mr Spence said.
Police were talking to a man about the incident.
A passerby had alerted police, but officers, along with fire and ambulance staff, were unable to revive the woman.
No further details were available.
