Several hundred homes and businesses in west Auckland were left without electricity just before lunchtime after a power pole suffered a fuse failure.
More than 262 properties had their power cut around 11.20am when a pole on Brigham Creek Rd blew a fuse.
Fire Service northern shift manager Scott Osmond
said crews attended the incident but handed over to linesmen to repair.
A Vector spokeswoman said as a result of the incident there was a partial feeder fault that cut electricity to parts of west Auckland.
She said smoke was some coming out of the pole but there were no flames or explosion.
