It was a calm weekend on Wairarapa roads this Easter, police say.
Masterton traffic policing Sergeant Chris Megaw said a minor crash on Bidwills Cutting Rd on Saturday was one of only a few traffic incidents police attended over the break.
"It was very quiet from our point of view."
"There were a couple of minor crashes that occurred. Overall traffic through Wairarapa was under control."
Wairarapa police caught two drink-drivers over the long weekend, Mr Megaw said. A Masterton driver received a ticket for providing a breath test reading between 250 to 400mcg of alcohol per litre of breath.
A Featherston driver under 20 years of age who had an adult test reading will be appearing in court.
Police had issued a "standard" number of speeding tickets for a holiday weekend, Mr Megaw said.
The Wellington-based highway patrol and speed camera were also deployed in Wairarapa over Easter holiday weekend.
