Defending champions Dalefield and Cashmanager Red Star will meet in the final of the Wairarapa Hockey Association's women's A division competition at Clareville tomorrow.
The two teams have played twice this year already with those games ending in a 2-1 win to Dalefield and a scoreless draw.
Another tight gameis in prospect with both teams having a good blend of experience and youth.
The men's A final is between the in-form Red Star and Featherston who managed to upset the top team Dalefield Ev's Bar in last week's semifinal. That game was tied at full-time and Featherston won on penalty strokes. Red Star will start favourites but Featherston have already proved the underdog tag won't deter them.
In the women's B final, Tumu ITM take on the experienced Tui Old Girls.
The game is sure to be a battle royal with both teams looking to start strongly and apply consistent pressure.
Defence will also be vital as the two sides are capable of taking full advantage of any deficiencies in that department.
The women's C final sees the older heads of Eketahuna Tuis taking on youthful St Matthew's second XI. The young players have improved as the season has progressed.
The women's 2 final is between Kia Kaha women and Featherston Foxies and for both teams it is the first time they have made the final of this competition. They have clearly improved as the season has progressed and there should be little between them.
