Hobbiton Movie Set is a successful tourism operation that welcomes thousands of New Zealand and overseas visitors to its operation each year. The location was originally used for the filming of Lord of the Rings trilogy and was rebuilt for the filming of The Hobbit trilogy. There are 44 hobbit holes, a working pub - the Green Dragon and The Shires Rest which has Ticketing, Gift Shop, Reservations and a Café.

We have streamlined our Site Maintenance Department into 3 key areas; Landscaping, Gardening and Set Maintenance. Now the search begins for three outstanding individuals who can fill the following full time permanent roles and help us maintain the brief that the Movie Set operates within.

Set Maintenance Supervisor
The Set Maintenance Supervisor performs a wide variety of general and preventive maintenance and repair work. If you have the following attributes then this job may be the one for you:
• Clean and valid driver's license
• Proven quality team lead experience
• Confident, proactive with a helpful & flexible approach
• Ability to work in all weather temperature conditions
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with all staff
• Broad knowledge of standard practices and procedures of construction trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems, including materials and tools & machinery
Landscaper Supervisor
The Landscaper supervisor is responsible for completing landscape and hardscape installations with great precision and efficiency. If you have the following attributes then this job may be the one for you:
• Significant experience in landscaping work
• Clean and valid driver's license
• Proven quality team lead experience
• Confident, proactive with a helpful & flexible approach
• Ability to work in all weather temperature conditions
• Experience with irrigation, turfing, road/track building, drainage, paving and stonework
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with all staff
• Level 3/4 Landscaping certification or equivalent of 5 years or more

Gardening Supervisor
To oversee the day to day maintenance of the Gardens Department, including but not limited to duties such as lawn mowing, fertilizer/herbicide applications, tending to mixed/herbaceous borders, hedges, trees and shrubs. If you have the following attributes then this job may be the one for you:
• Significant experience in gardening work including watering, fertilizing, potting, repotting, pruning, grooming, planting, plant knowledge and general maintenance
• Proven quality Team leader experience
• Confident, proactive with a helpful and flexible approach
• Ability to work well in a team and alone, with minimum supervision, maintaining a professional and enthusiastic approach
• Sufficient physical fitness and dexterity to cope with often strenuous work
• Ability to remain motivated even whilst carrying out often repetitive tasks, weed eating, mowing and hedge trimming
• Clean and valid driver's license
• Proven quality team lead experience
