Ms Antonio said the crowd will be encouraged to join in the singing.
"The real difference with this is the audience participation ... that's all part of it." Singing is joyful and it's affordable. It's a fun event," she said.
"That's all part of what Shear Fest is all about."
Ms Antonio said it would also be something else for people to enjoy before the Shear Fashion show, to be held at War Memorial Stadium, Masterton, from 7.30pm on Thursday.
Songs in the Shed will be in the Wesley Wing at Aratoi from 6pm.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
"It's a bit of a flash shed," said Ms Antonio.
The event is being supported by Aratoi and Destination Wairarapa.
