Hit and run vehicle found

Police have found a vehicle sought in relation to a hit and run incident in Flaxmere in Hawke's Bay.

A five-year-old boy remains in a critical condition at Starship Hospital in Auckland with serious head injuries after the incident last night.

The boy's father is by his side.

Hastings Police Sergeant Clint Adamson says a car has been found and police are now trying to track down the driver who they believe to be a male.
