Hit-and-run: Police to question suspects

Police say they have a "long list" of suspects to interview before making any arrests over the hit-and-run slaying of a Bay of Plenty teenager.

Sixteen-year-old Jordan Herewini was run down and killed by a Toyota ute stolen from his family home in Murupara, 63km southeast of Rotorua.

It is believed that he was mistaken by out-of-town Mongrel Mob gang members as belonging to the local rival Tribesmen gang.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper of Rotorua CIB, said he expected interviews to last well into next week.
