HIPPY Whanganui invites applications for the position of HIPPY Coordinator.
HIPPY, Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters, works alongside families to grow skills that aid children in a successful start at school. HIPPY's interactive programme supports parents in their own home.
The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the
programme implementation and development.
The preferred applicant will have:
Tertiary qualification - preferably ECE or Primary Teaching;
Experience in community development;
Experience in being alongside families;
Excellent communication, leadership, administrative, organisation and budgeting skills;
Appreciation and understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi;
Experience in establishing and managing key relationship with parents, whānau, early childhood centres, schools and agencies.
