High school students rally against church

Students at Wellington High School have called for immediate action to stop Destiny Church pushing its "hate messages" on school grounds.

About 20 students and another 20 supporters turned up yesterday to protest against the church using the school grounds for its Sunday services.

The principal said last week that the students had agreed to give the church until March to find new premises. But student spokesman Sonny Thomas said there had been no agreement and the students wanted immediate action.
