Save A hero truckie who rescued a woman during a serious assault is being urged to contact police.
The incident took place near the BP Truck Shop on Hocking St, Mt Maunganui between 1am and 3am on January.
A 27-year-old local man has been arrested and faces a number of serious
charges.
Police said the mystery truckie intervened but left the scene before officers could speak to him.
