Police are following fresh leads into a sex attack in a Rotorua park after the assault featured on television show Police Ten 7.
The show screened on Thursday last week and police say featuring the case was beneficial to the investigation.
"The show resulted in calls to police with informationwhich we are still working through," said Detective Senior Sergeant Zane Smith of the Rotorua CIB.
The assault victim, a woman in her 40s, was walking home through Kuirau Park between 2.30am and 3am on August 2.
She was grabbed and assaulted by two men, described as Maori in their 20s.
Police Ten 7 presenter retired Detective Inspector Graham Bell was at the site of the attack last week.
As part of the show he asked people to come forward with any information that could help identify the attackers.
Mr Bell said it was the second time this year Police Ten 7 had filmed a segment about a sexual attack at Kuirau Park.
At the beginning of the year, a 15-year-old was followed into a public toilet at the park by a man in his 40s, who then locked her in and sexually assaulted her.
Meanwhile, Mr Smith said police would still like to hear from anyone who has information about the latest assault, or was in the area of Kuirau Park between 2.30am and 3am on August 3.
