Heart attack suspected for rescued yachtie

Rescued Lyttelton yachtsman Bruce Cox may have had a heart attack while battling to save himself and his partner during three stormy weeks at sea.

Anastasie Kortekaas, the mother of Mr Cox's partner, Heloise Kortekaas, who was rescued with him on Tuesday night, said abnormal blood readings had indicated the 49-year-old could have had a heart attack during the couple's ordeal aboard their 9.7m steel yacht Janette Gay.
