A Hastings man suffered serious leg injuries when he fell from his dirt-bike during a charity event in the Hawke's Bay this afternoon.
Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter pilot Chris Moody said the incident occurred at Porangahau during an off-road motorbike event.
The helicopter was called due to the remoteness of
the location.
The man, in his 40s, had to be pulled out from under his bike and was treated at the scene by a paramedic.
He was flown to Hastings Hospital in a stable condition.
