Hastings group attacks delivery man for pizza

Police are hunting a group who attacked a pizza delivery driver in Hastings last night and made off with his pizzas.

The 23-year-old driver, who had been making a delivery on Birkenhead Cres in Flaxmere about 11pm, suffered facial injuries when he was jumped on from behind, Detective Vanessa Jones of Hastings police said.

Two witnesses, who helped the driver, saw about six to eight people running away.

Ms Jones said police wanted to hear from anyone with information.
