The family booked again for August 22 and were told to stay in Auckland in case a short notice flight came up.
They successfully boarded their flight on Saturday and are now in quarantine at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel.
Gillies said the family and Haimona's parents are "super happy" now that they have arrived in Brisbane.
"A lot of stress is now gone because at least we are now in Australia," Gillies said.
They are enjoying their first quarantine which cost $3710 plus laundry costs.
"So far everything has been great."
Their room is big enough for the three of them and also has a bath which gives water-loving Aria some extra space to play.
The flight went well and everyone had to wear a mask in both New Zealand and Australia.
They were able to quickly get through Australian customs and boarded a bus to go to the quarantine hotel.
Following the Brisbane quarantine, the family will fly to Perth where they will quarantine again before re-connecting with Haimona's family.
They are looking to book tickets for this today.
