Hastings crash on Waimarama Rd leaves one person dead, road closed

One person has died in a serious crash at Hastings.

One person has died in a serious crash that closed a Hastings road this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Waimarama Rd at 6.45am.

A police spokesperson later confirmed the crash was fatal.

“One person was located deceased at the scene.

“Waimarama Rd remains closed while a scene examination is conducted.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
