Hastings crash: Driver seriously injured in single vehicle York Rd smash

A driver has been taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash that closed a Hastings road.

A police spokesperson said they were called to a crash at the intersection of York Rd and Maraekakaho Rd around 1.05pm today.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one patient in a serious condition was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Hawke’s Bay Today visited the road at 1.30pm, only to find it was closed off by road crews.

York Rd was reopened around 2.15pm.
