Hastings' Child, youth and family office is on lockdown after a threat was made to staff over the phone.
Eastern District Command Centre Senior Sergeant Ross Smith said the office on Eastbourne St had been on lockdown since about 3.40pm.
He was unable to disclose the nature of the threat
received by staff at the office.
