Hartner's motor yacht sells for $4.9m in US

Wayne Hartner's luxury boat, Risk & Reward, has been sold in the United States for $4.9 million.

The receiver of Hartner Construction and Hartner Group, John Waller of PricewaterhouseCoopers, says the sale for $US2 million was made "about two weeks ago."

But the deal will do little for Hartner creditors owed at least $28.5 million.

Mr Waller says the boat sale proceeds will go to the National Bank.

Mr Hartner ran R&R Charters, hiring the boat out, as well as using it for entertainment before his companies went under.
