Police are asking the public for help after an eight-tonne horse truck was stolen in Hastings overnight on Friday.
It is believed the theft could be linked to another recent incident in the rural Hawke's Bay area, where two farm bikes and a firearm were taken.
The "hard to miss"
truck has a custom-made green-and-white horse box, and the truck is a white Mitsubishi FUSO fighter.
It has "RN and AM LEE Partnership" written on the driver's door, and the letter 'U' is missing from the word FUSO on the back of the vehicle.
It was stolen from a building site at Middle Rd, Havelock North. A number of building tools are also believed to have been taken.
