Harbourside wedding for cricketer and model bride

The former Black Cap wore blue, and his lingerie model bride sparkled in stunning, sleeveless white as cricketer-turned-mortgage broker Adam Parore wed his girlfriend yesterday.

The intimate ceremony in front of the sparkling Hokianga Harbour comes just days after Parore, 43, triumphed in a bitter legal battle with his ex-partner and mother of his two children, Auckland socialite Sally Ridge.

A judge ruled Ridge was not entitled to half of Parore's business, Small Business Accounting.

Yesterday, his good fortune continued as Miller Rose MacLeod-McGhie, 22, became his wife.

The couple were engaged last August after Parore dropped to one knee in exclusive New York restaurant Eleven Madison Park.

Yesterday, Parore draped one arm around his bride as they took their vows under a pohutukawa tree on the lawn of the Copthorne Hotel at Omapere, ribbon-tied white roses swaying above.

The wedding party almost outnumbered the invited guests, with four bridesmaids, four groomsmen, three page boys and two flower girls.

Burly security guards — hired by a women's magazine with exclusive rights to the wedding — shooed away curious passersby and stopping anyone using the wharf.

The ceremony ended with whoops of delight as the newlyweds kissed before guests retreated to large marquee for the reception.

Meanwhile, Seven Sharp host Jesse Mulligan is understood to be tying the knot with partner Victoria Dawson-Wheeler in a church ceremony in Grey Lynn tomorrow.

The pair have been together for more than 10 years and have two daughters, 2-year-old Hazel and 9-month-old Daisy.
