A Hamilton man and his partner have been found guilty of luring women into their car and raping them.
At the High Court at Hamilton yesterday, Jason Lloyd Jones, 38, was found guilty of one charge of rape and one of sexual violation by rape and Maureen Samantha Iti, 33, guilty of one count of rape, The Waikato Times reported.
The jury failed to reach a verdict on another charge of rape against the pair, from Tamahere, 9km southeast of Hamilton, and one of indecent exposure against Jones.
The Crown said it would seek a retrial on these charges.
The prosecution said Jones and Iti lured the women into their vehicle, plied them with alcohol and raped them.
The couple were remanded to May 20.
