The Company
Mount Pack and Cool Limited (MPAC) is a kiwifruit packing and cool storage company based in Aerodrome Road Mount Maunganui involved in preparing the fruit, supplied by our grower clients, for export by ZESPRI International Ltd.
Our company has a reputation for excellence in fruit production, fruit handling and generating beneficial financial results for our grower client base. Over the past seven seasons, MPAC has consistently delivered above industry average Orchard Gate Returns for our supplying growers. One of our principal points of difference is that we maintain a very close personal relationship with each of our growers and their businesses.
The Role
With the anticipated growth in industry crop volumes, Mount Pack and Cool are seeking to employ a Grower Services Officer to join our current Grower Services team to identify and develop new business opportunities and to assist in maintaining our existing business relationships.
The successful candidate will have:
• A proven sales and/or business development background combined with an appetite to acquire new business
• A high degree of relationship building experience based around excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication.
• A comprehensive knowledge of the orchard management and/or post-harvest service provision in the kiwifruit industry
• A demonstrated understanding of the key elements involved in delivering an effective service offering to a company's clients in either a kiwifruit industry or related primary industry context
• The ability to build a rapport and trusted working relationships with grower clients, members of the management team and staff respectively
• An ability to adapt to change at an industry, a company, a demographic and a strategic level.
• Highly developed planning and organizational skills and demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation and resilience
• The ability to work effectively as an integral member of a team and to maintain a professional approach and manner in all circumstances
